I’m a J.D. candidate at Southwestern Law School, concentrating in entertainment law. My path here wasn’t a straight line — I have a B.A. from Reed College, where my thesis used quantitative methods to study a Latin American policy crisis, and an M.A. from Georgetown, where I wrote a policy memo on generative AI and fair use doctrine and a separate research piece on streaming consolidation in the creator economy.
That policy background is part of why I care about entertainment law specifically: the questions I find most interesting — who owns a performance, a likeness, a style, a piece of creative labor — sit right at the boundary of law, technology, and industry economics.
At Southwestern, I serve on the boards of the Entertainment Law Society and the Music Law Society, and I’m the Networking Chair for LACBA’s Entertainment Law and IP Section (ELIPS). I’m also a research assistant working on right of publicity and generative AI.
Before law school, I worked in event and volunteer management for the DC/DOX Documentary Film Festival and in data/business analysis at Omnicom Media Group.
